Channels overview

Channels decide which number and which apps your messages come from. Everything else in Wapify runs on top of them.

Channels is the only page in Wapify that other features depend on. Automations, Campaigns and the Inbox all run on whatever is configured here.

Channels answers one question: which accounts is Wapify allowed to talk through? There are two independent connections on the page — a WhatsApp sender for everything Wapify sends, and Facebook/Instagram for the chats that come in. Neither depends on the other.

The WhatsApp sender

Every automated message, campaign and Inbox reply goes out over WhatsApp, and WhatsApp requires a business number that Meta has verified. You have two options, and exactly one of them is active at a time.

The Channels page always shows which one is Currently using, and switching between them is one click. A switch takes effect on the very next message — nothing already queued is lost or duplicated.

Not sure which to pick? Choose your WhatsApp number compares them side by side.

Facebook & Instagram

A second, separate connection. Connecting your Facebook Page brings Messenger conversations into the Wapify Inbox, and if an Instagram professional account is linked to that Page, its DMs come with it — one connect covers both.

This connection is inbound only. Automations never send to Messenger or Instagram; they are WhatsApp-only, by design. What it gives you is one place to answer customers instead of three apps.

Details and requirements: Messenger & Instagram.

How the rest of the app depends on this page

FeatureWhat Channels decides
AutomationsWhich number the message comes from, which template version is used, and whether a monthly allowance applies at all.
CampaignsOn the shared number a campaign reaches at most 10 recipients. On your own number it reaches your whole audience.
InboxWhich chats appear at all. WhatsApp chats show when a WhatsApp sender is active; Messenger and Instagram chats show when those channels are connected.
TemplatesThe Templates page only appears once your own number is connected — on the shared number there is nothing to submit or edit.

Disconnecting hides chats, it doesn't delete them

If you disconnect Instagram, Instagram chats disappear from the Inbox. Reconnect and they're all back, with their full history — nothing was deleted, the list is simply filtered to the channels you currently have. The same is true of WhatsApp chats when you disconnect your own number.

Reading the connection status

Each connection card shows its live state, read from Meta rather than from what Wapify last recorded, so it can't quietly drift out of date.

ConnectedWorking. For your own WhatsApp number the card also shows the number, your business name, the connection date, Meta's quality rating and your current sending limit.
Currently usingThis is the sender in use right now. The other option stays available to switch to.
Your number isn't finished setting upMeta verified the number but it hasn't been activated for sending yet. Press Finish setup — it takes seconds and needs nothing from you.
Not connectedNever connected, or disconnected. Automations fall back to Wapify's shared number.

Quality rating is worth watching. Meta rates every sending number on how customers react to it. Too many blocks or reports and the number's daily limit drops — or it stops sending. Keeping messages relevant, and letting quiet hours do their job, is what protects it.
