Ask for review
Collect product reviews in WhatsApp after delivery — one message per product, with the product's photo.
How was Premium Sneakers?
★★★★★
The form opens inside WhatsApp — no browser, no login, no leaving the chat. That's why response rates beat an emailed review request.
Review requests fail for a boring reason: they ask someone to leave the app they're in, open a browser, find the product and type. Wapify asks inside WhatsApp, where the customer already is, and the whole thing takes about fifteen seconds.
What fires it
The order being marked as delivered — not merely shipped. Wapify waits for the courier to report delivery back to Shopify, then starts the delay you configured.
If your courier doesn't report delivery to Shopify, this automation has nothing to fire on. Check that a recent fulfillment shows as delivered in Shopify before relying on it.
One message per product
An order with three products produces three review requests, each carrying that product's own photo as the message image and that product's title in the text. Up to five products per order are asked about.
This is deliberate. A single "how was your order?" produces a review that helps nobody decide whether to buy a specific item — and it can't be published on a product page, because it isn't about a product. Per-product requests produce per-product reviews, with a photo of the exact thing the customer received.
Each of those messages counts against your monthly allowance, so an order with five products uses five order-update messages. Worth knowing if you sell large baskets.
Timing
Send review request after delivery — from 0 hours to several days, 24 hours by default. Set to 0 and the request goes out as soon as the order is marked delivered.
Send review request after delivery
24 to 48 hours is the sweet spot for most stores: long enough that the customer has actually used the product, short enough that the purchase is still fresh. Ask immediately and you'll get reviews of the delivery experience rather than the product.
The review form
Tapping Share Your Feedback opens a WhatsApp Flow — a native form inside the chat. It asks for:
- A star rating, 1 to 5. Required.
- A comment, free text. Optional.
- A photo. Optional, and featured alongside the review when you publish it.
Nothing else — no email, no account, no captcha. A rating-only review is perfectly valid and still counts toward your product's average.
Customer photos are what make a reviews section persuasive. They're also what powers the Reviews editorial block, a photo-led spread for your home page.
Follow-up reminder
A second, shorter message to anyone who received a request and hasn't submitted anything. The delay is measured from the first message — 48 hours by default. It's sent once; a customer who ignores both is left alone.
Where reviews go
Every submitted review lands in the Feedback Center, under Product reviews, with a status of Pending. Nothing is published automatically.
- Read it
Rating, comment, photo, product and order, all in one row.
- Approve or hide
Approving publishes it to that product's page on your storefront, if you've added the reviews block to your theme. Hiding keeps it in Wapify and off your site.
- Optionally, feature it
Starred reviews appear in the Reviews editorial block — a photo-led spread for your home page.
To show reviews on your storefront at all, add one of Wapify's two theme blocks. See Reviews on your storefront.
Reviews as an upsell trigger
A customer who just left four or five stars is the warmest audience you'll ever have. The Upsell automation can trigger on exactly that — Customer leaves a 4★ or 5★ review — which needs this automation switched on to collect them.
Where the results show up
- Feedback Center → Product reviews — the moderation queue, and image export.
- Logs → Ask for review — every request with its status and whether it was answered.
- Analytics — requests sent, reviews received, reviews per request, average rating, rating breakdown and best-rated products.
- Your storefront — approved reviews, once the theme block is added.
